Cant Able to do Planning

Hi Experts,

 

I am new to AFO, from many discussions I came to know that we can do Planning functionality in via AFO to write the data back to BW system.

 

Now in my system I have create the Input ready query and opened it in AFO for planning.

 

After made the inital step like Planning:Open Data Source input enabled, after entering the values in respective cells I see that Except edit mode all other options are greyed-out. so please help me on this.

Not able to see all currency translation types in Analysis 1.3 version

Hi,

 

We have a strange issue where we are not able to see all the conversion types under the Measures->Currency Translation in Analysis - we are on latest version 1.3 version SP1. We have more currency translation types when we see it through properties of a key figure via Bex query designer. Has anyone come across of this scenario...?

AO 2.2 and EPM 10

Hi Expert,

Even though I have went through multiple thread about this discussion I still confused that whether Analysis for office 2.2 and EPM 10 will work together.

 

NOTE: I have EPM 10 already in my machine and going to install Analysis for office alone in 2.2 by not installing the EPM in that package.

 

Will the above scenario is advisable or its must to uninstall the EPM 10 and reinstall the EPM via AFO 2.2 package.

 

Please help me get an idea about.

Restrict Logon-Window "Select Data Source" - hide tab

Hi

 

We provide our Reports with SAP Portal for all users. We'd like to roll-out now for some key-users additionally Analysis for Excel (Vers. 2.3).

 

Is there a possibility to hide the Tab Area in the Logon-Window?

Unable to Install Analysis for Office 2.3

when i try to install the tool for 64 bit - it says i already have the 32 bit version installed

 

but when i go to Add/Remove programs or C:\Program Files (x86) there is nothing in either location.

 

I'm trying to install it on my machine that is running Office 365 2016 - is this possible?

How to hide display of Characteristic Attributes in Analysis Workbook

Dear Gurus,

I wonder if anyone knows the solution to below situation as it would greatly benefit us.

 

We have an Excel Analysis Workbook. In the Display Panel, user can see all the Characteristics of BEx Query (this is ok as expected) and if a Characteristic has some attributes defined, then all those attributes are shown to the users by default (here, we have an issue). We do not want the Users to see those Attributes. The requirement is to show only basic Characteristics to the Users.

 

Does anyone know if we can control or restrict display of Attributes in Analysis Workbook? And if yes, then how?

We would prefer to avoid the seriously long route of making attributes as Authorization Relevant and all the associated overhead, if possible.

 

Any help would be appreciated.
