Advance Analysis Workbook Error ID-111006 on Refresh

We're currently on version 1.4.4.2737. I've created the advanced analysis office workbook using BOBJ connection and stored it on my PC. Next time when I open the workbook from PC and try to refresh it, it asks for BOBJ credential and then executes and I get attached message. No dump found in SAP BI (ST22).

 

If I create the workbook using SAP BI (Enter Skip on BOBJ credential popup) and then tried to reopen it, Refresh works perfectly fine.

 

Any idea why it gives error while refreshing the workbook on PC created using BOBJ connection?

Bad Performance issue using Analysis 1.4 SP6 with BW 7.0 SP10

Hello Gurus,

 

We are in process of migrating BEx workbook into Analysis workbooks, So we are testing all version of AO with all SP levels. My client had AO 1.4 SP 0, But we are trying the reports with AO 1.4 SP 6 , its much better than SP 0. But still the performance is too bad in AO 1.4 SP 6..

 

So can some one help in this.?

 

Do BW 7.0 SP10 is ok to use with AO 1.4 SP6.??

Business objects platform  4.1.?

 

Please help me in this.

Single Sign on to Query Designer from Analysis

The Launch Query Designer link is active on the Excel ribbon but a SAP log in screen opens up forcing a second log in when you click on the link. I am able to access the query and load it into Analysis so I don't understand why that connection information is not passed along when I try to open Query Designer from the link under Tools section of the ribbon. Has anyone found a way to have single sign on? We are running version 1.4.2.2625 of Analysis. Thanks in advance.

Requested system could not be found in 'logon.ini' (ID-103043)

We recently upgraded to Analysis for Office 1.4 SP4_1. We got following error when open a workbook which was created before SP4_1 and save on local PC. Requested system could not be found in 'logon.ini' (ID-103043). Could not access system BWD for data source (ID-103013)

 

There is no issue at all when open a workbook previously saved in NW platform (via Portal iView), or newly created workbooks with new DataSource. the logon request prompts up as usual. Have someone got the same issue?

Analysis for Office on HANA Analytic View

when i try to open an Analytic View, selecting an OLAP connection created on CMC, an MDX error is generated:

How to get data refresh time using "Last Data Update" in AO on top of SAP HANA

Hi SCN,

 

Am using SAP BO Analysis Office on top of SAP HANA.

 

I can see I have an option of using "Last Data Update" in this Info field as shown below:

But the "Last Data Update" gives me the last activated date of the HANA Model which am using for displaying the report.

 

Is there any function I can use to get the Last updated date of the table used in the HANA Model?

reset a datasource via VBA

Hello folks,

 

we are currently facing some performance issues regarding big data sets with IP and Analysis. We've been wondering if there is a possibility to reset a data source. Unfortunately the command "Call Application.Run("SAPSetRefreshBehaviour", "Off")" is only applicable for all queries and not able to select for one.

 

In Conclusion we would like to use one Query when pressing a button showing the second Query and disable the first one. Is there any functionality which will give us the possibility to do so´?

p.s.: We tried already with RRI but there is the Problem, that the user is locking himself during he has 2 open queries.

BOAO commands desabled when the workbook is protected

Hello,

 

Business Object Analysis  for Office currently disables all the commands when one of the workbooks is protected.

 

There is a way to resolve this issue ??

Prompts in Analysis for Excel on HANA via BICS?

Is this a limitation of our setup? The documentation on Analysis for Excel all references prompts as being variables in a BEx query. That's great, but what if you don't have a BEx query as your data source and you still want to prompt users to enter a date range when opening a workbook? I've attempted to use Input Parameters in the HANA view, but nothing seems to happen.

 

Anyone know of any workarounds that might work?

Variable Prompt for planning functions

Hello experts,

I wonder how to call the prompt for planning function's variables.

For instance, I have a Distribution by Key planning function with distribution keys as mandatory variables.

If I call the planning function in WebApllicationDesigner a prompt for variable inputs is displayed.

How to achieve the same behavior in Analysis?

Does anyone use Analysis for Office against data on HANA?   I am running into some problems with creating Calcuations in Analysis when we have hierarchies in the calculation view.    Also I am not able to see the measures in the folders that were created in HANA.

Scheduling Analysis for Office.. not able to get to instances

Hi all

We're using SAP BO 4.1 SP2 and Analysis for MS Office 1.4 and ANALYSIS OFFICE BIP ADD ON 1.4 SP6.

 

We can schedule Analysis Workbooks without problems, but do not have any possibility to access the instances. Not like with CR or WebI where you have the History Option in context menu..

 

We intended to use Analyis BOP AddOn to instantiate Workbooks and make them available for users not having Analyisis installed.

 

Would appreciate any help!

Disaggregation of the value 0

Dear all,

 

as you can see in the title, I am facing a problem regarding the disaggregation of the value 0. When I am in BOA and I enter "0" for net sales the average selling price won't change automatically to 0 as well, after the recalculation (I fixed the quantity; ASP = Net Sales / Net Quantity). Especially when I drag new characteristics into the columns, the value is not applied to 0, but still kept in its original form.

 

 

Does this refer to any settings within my query? Or do you have any other idea?

How to RRI jump from BW to ECC with SSO in analysis?

Hi All,

 

I'm testing BW Bex RRI jump from BW to a ECC report using Analysis for Office, but it opens up a web page from ECC but SSO is not working. If I type ID and password then it's working. Does anyone know how to set SSO available for Analysis for Office when using BW Query RRI?

 

- Login to NW BW using SSO(AD) successful

- AO Version: Analysis for Office 1.3 SP6

- OS: Window 7

- BW Version: 7.3 patch 5

Connection to BW via BusinessObjects Platform

Hi guys,

 

We want our users to log onto BW via the BO platform. At the moment I can pull a BW user through into our BO system and they can log onto Analysis by selecting BO platform using SAP Authentication. The next step is that they need to log onto BW. We don't have SSO set up so again they use their BW userID and password.

What are the options open to us for allowing our users to log onto BW? By that I mean which of the connection options can we use? Currently I only see a list of systems when I select 'Local System' and it pulls thought the systems from my .ini file and I can connect ok to any system regardless of which BO system I connected to.

 

Can/should I be able to see a list of Systems that we want to give our users access to from the 'System' option from the conenctions pull-down?

 

I can't find any documentation that details how I go about doing this, if it's at all possible. I assume I do some security in the BO CMC?
